Labour is hacking people off and I'm one of them. They annoyed me when they abused my personal details to send me text messages for the leadership election and, when I called to have my mobile phone data removed, I was told that copies of the membership database had been given to each of the leadership runner's offices; a clear data protection breach; so that meant they could take my mobile number off the central records, but not the copies.
Milliband is going around saying, "We can't go around making promises that we can't afford to keep." But that is a clear cop out. The party has a manifesto, an account of what direction that the party is going in. Its failure to put out messages that give its intent of where it WANTS to go, basically, leaves people with no way of evaluating the party.
Result = Disconnect.
Way to go, Milliband. I was listening him giving this line on one of the politics shows on Sunday, and I thought that it made him look like a spineless waste of space when what he needed to be doing, is giving a clear impression of where he wanted to go.
So; years of below inflation pay rises, followed by what will then be four years of no pay rise; or was it three years? I only know that we had a year with no pay rise the year prior to whatever the government announced; so whatever the government have imposed, then add a year to it. And now incoming years with even less money, more money being taken from me under the guise of pension changes which won't actually go in to the pension pot but straight in to government coffers, and I'll be (at the current point) paying more, working longer and getting less all in one whammy.
I'd damn well like to know what the hell Milliband thinks of this, because the private sector is getting paid a good deal more for the same kind of work. I want to know at least what he'd LIKE to do; give me a measure of the man, or is he turning out to be a blue-coat in red clothing?
You know; it's a sign of just how pathetic the current labour party has turned out to be, because I can't actually remember which of the two Milliband brothers I voted for. I think it was the one who sent the fewest annoying messages to my moblie phone; I'm not sure.
