Friday morning blues

I can just hear the sound of the bottle neck guitar playing as I write. For some people, it will be a nice, relaxing weekend around the corner, but for me comes a few hundred mile drive after work to spend a long weekend with my Mother.

Don't get me wrong, I love her dearly; she's done a lot for me, but there is only so many times that a grown adult can take being treated like they were seven again. Despite declining her offers of food, it nevertheless turns up in front of me. My tea consumption goes from one or two cups to one or two gallons, and I am suddenly obliged to bring all my dirty laundry for her to do. To quote one of my colleagues, "Deep joy." (sighed in a voice of resignation)

For the increasing number of people browsing the posts, that will mean you finally get chance to catch up on the begining ten days of blogging the chaos of my life, as I won't be able to blog until Tuesday. Revalation three is just around the corner, as is part two of my first attempt at the Police application.

The hackers also get free reign for a few days. Some twit in Germany spent half an hour draining my sites of all content; result is a complaint to their ISP about copyright and theft, along with a breach of their ISP terms of service. I'm expecting them to have their internet connection cut.

I also spent a good half an hour (more like three quarters) shoring up the logic in the programs that defend my guestbook against advertising people. Also, once I've finished this post, I have two complaints to put in to blogger.com of users advertising on the feedback. That'll teach 'em.

Have a good weekend; see one and all next week!

Ah.. So you didn't move far enough away.. Neither did I. I have to have dinner with them at least once a week, otherwise I get the "Do you remember us?" phone conversations..

Turn on the "Show word verification for comments" option in your Blog Settings (Comments Section). That will ensure someone is actually sitting at their pc to post a comment. It has wiped out all junk comments for me...
